Asbury Park police were asked to serve as backup when the Federal Bureau of Investigations conducted an investigation into dog fighting in the city Wednesday morning.
Michael Casey, Public Information Officer, said city one resident was arrested.
He had no further information about the arrest but said the FBI would most likely be issuing a report.
In another incident Casey said a Howell man, 23, who was known to police, was given the antidote drug Narcan after overdosing on a narcotic in one of the Convention Hall bathrooms.
Police responded to the call Fri., May 27 at 7:20 p.m.
Casey said the man was taken to an area hospital and was subsequently released.
“He’s doing fine,” Casey said.
Also during the holiday weekend Casey said Belle Meade resident John Moyle, 23, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Moyle was removed from a Main Street bar and when police attempted to speak with him and get him to leave the area he began creating a scene, Casey said.
“We are continuing to address the disorderly’s,” he said.
