The Starving Artist at Days Summer Theater returns to the porch at Days in Ocean Grove with their annual Broadway musical review beginning June 30.
This year’s offering, “Days Remembered,” is a collection of songs to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the building Days in Ocean Grove. The historic building is celebrating this anniversary with several events throughout the summer, the first being “Days Remembered,” a Broadway Musical Review.
The Ocean Grove themed musical is a collection of songs from musicals including Annie, Gypsy, South Pacific, Kinky Boots and many more Tony award-winning shows. The show was conceived in directed by Nick Montesano. Musical direction is by Jeff Brown. The all singing all dancing cast includes Aurora Jai Brunette, Bryan Vitalo, Jessica Berger Vitalo, Heather McLaughlin, Amanda Munice, Casey Grady Surgent, Nick Montesano, and Starving Artist owner Arnold Teixeira.
Performances run outdoors, rain or shine, on the porch of Days, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, June 30 through July 9 at 7:30. Tickets are available at the Starving Artist, 48 Pitman Avenue in Ocean Grove, or by calling 732-988-1007. General admission tickets are $20 and seating is very limited.
The Days building has been in operation in Ocean Grove since 1876. It currently houses the long running businesses of The Starving Artist at Days and Ice Cream at Days.
