The Center in Asbury Park has put out the call for help stocking their freezer for the Meals to Go program.
The program provides home cooked frozen meals to people living in motels and rooming houses who have no way to prepare meals.
The Center is asking individuals and groups to help fill the freezer with frozen cooked meals and will provide microwavable containers to volunteers.
They are also in need of pantry food items including: cereal, instant oatmeal, rice, juice, milk (condensed or powdered) Jell-O, canned puddings, fruit and tuna.
Also needed are raisins, healthy snacks, macaroni and cheese, tea, coffee, canned vegetables and instant mashed potatoes.
The Center is also in need of hygiene supplies including: laundry detergent, bleach, toilet paper, shampoo; conditioner; deodorant; body lotion; tooth brushes; toothpaste; mouthwash; body soap; shaving cream and razors.
