As part of its efforts to kick off Neptune Republican Club’s 2016 – 2017 Season, Club President Danielle Daly announced that the Republican Club will hold a dinner meeting on Thurs., Sept. 22nd at Il Posto’s Restaurant on 5 th Avenue in Neptune. (the former Mom’s Kitchen).
The meeting itself will begin at 7 p.m. and feature a buffet of Chicken Francese, Eggplant Parmesan and a pasta option of the day, plus more, for members and any guests attending at a great price of only $20 per person.
A “Get To Know Everyone Happy Hour” will precede the dinner meeting
Those attending are also asked to bring a slightly used or new winter coat for distribution to Neptune residents.
At the meeting Monmouth County Surrogate Rosemarie Peters will be the keynote speaker and will discuss the many responsibilities of the Surrogate’s Office and how it helps residents in the County. Christine Hanlon, Monmouth County’s Clerk will also be speaking about her office, her job and the dates, deadlines for Voter registration and the most important, Vote By Mail option.
Daly said that in addition to a couple of very informative dinner meetings during the year, “our efforts in the coming months and years will be geared to introducing families and new residents to the Neptune Republican Club through events that make them feel right at home. Some of the ideas being considered are Game Nights, Family Nights with the kids, like bowling and other activities.
The Neptune Republican Club is now in its 91st year and has a rich history of activity in Neptune and is now beginning an effort to recruit new members interested in Republican activities as well as helping to ensure good government in Neptune.
“An additional part of our mission is to include charitable efforts and this meeting will feature a Winter Coat Drive for those Neptune residents who need a good warm coat this winter, but
for one reason or another do not have one,” Daly said. “We are working with local officials and clergy to ensure the distribution of the coats and donations will go to our neighbors, our Neptune Residents. So, please bring a slightly used or new winter coat to the meeting; Children’s, men’s and/or women’s. Any and all sizes, will gratefully be accepted.”
