If you are an Ocean Township resident and are at least 90 years old, then you are invited to a special party on Nov. 1.
Township officials are holding a free “Super Seniors” luncheon at The Renaissance, 1110 Valley Road, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Century Club Seniors, those born before 1916, will also receive special recognition at the event but everyone over 90 years old is invited.
“This is a special luncheon to honor our oldest seniors. I think it’s a great thing to do and I hope to do it on an annual basis,” Mayor Christopher Siciliano said.
“These are people who have contributed to our township, perhaps before some of us were even here,” he said.
Seniors are invited to bring a free guest and transportation is available for anyone wanting to attend but cannot get there on their own.
Siciliano said the township’s Meals On Wheels program has 31 people over 90 years old on its list, with three more 100 years or older.
For more information and to reserve a seat call Siciliano’s office at 732-531-5032 or e-mail Jennifer Appio at jappio@oceantwp.org.
Onora Health, based in Ocean Township, is helping sponsor the event.
