Ocean Township continues to have a top-rated police department, Mayor Christopher Siciliano said at the recent police promotion.
Police Detective Bryan Morgan was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at the Nov. 10 Township Council meeting.
Siciliano said the township’s police department can receive more than 100 applications when a new job is announced.
“That says great things about us and that this is a great place to work. We only have the best,” he said.
Morgan, 32, lives in Oakhurst with his wife, Andrea, and his two-year-old daughter, Olivia. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in criminology and psychology from Albright University in Reading, Pa.
He started his career in law enforcement as a special officer in Point Pleasant and graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in 2006. He was hired in Ocean Township in 2006 and worked in the detective department for four years.
