The Asbury Park Merchants Guild has several holiday activities scheduled for the downtown.
On Sun., Dec. 11 there is a Snowflake Treasure Hunt for children and families from 1 to 4 p.m.
Participants choose a number at Fitness Lifestyles, 614 Cookman Avenue then search for that number which will be posted on merchant’s doors and windows throughout downtown.
Once their number is located participants can go inside to collect their holiday treasure.
Selfies will Santa or You Take Your Own Photos with Santa will be available at Fitness Lifestyles. Bring children, friends and pets.
There will also be a coat and food drive underway so please bring a new or gently used coat and a non perishable food item to Fitness Lifestyles.
The weekend of December 15 through 18 is geared towards adults to shop and relax in a stress free environment.
Start the weekend early on Thurs., Dec. 15 with the Ladies heading to Hot Mess, 651 Cookman Avenue for special discounts. Shoppers are also reminded to use #alliwantap to build your wish list for the holiday season.
Continue your Chill Out Christmas shopping throughout the downtown on Friday and Saturday. On Sun., Dec. 18 The Shoppes at the Arcade, 658 Cookman Avenue will have a Winter Photo Land holiday party with photo ops and treats from arcade merchants.
There will be a special retro holiday background set up for selfies and a variety of crazy Christmas hats to use to release your inner Santa or Elf.
Tillie Claus will also be making an appearance for holly jolly shots for your Asbury holiday greetings.
Wander through the Winter Wonderland of 10 unique shops and sample free treats from merchants.
There will be hot chocolate for all ages and hot toddies for adults including eggnog and cookies. Holiday tunes will entertain.
On Dec. 22 through 24 downtown will be open for all your last minute shopping.
