Residents and visitors to Bradley Beach will have a chance Sat., May 20 to experience restaurants and businesses in the borough.
The second annual Taste of Bradley Beach is being held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. when participants will follow the red balloons to enjoy tastings, samples, specials and sales throughout the downtown area.
The event is sponsored by Bradley Beach Tourism Commission.
Commission Chair Nicole Kienlen said she is hoping this second event is as successful as last year’s.
She said the purpose of the event is to bring the town together and introduce the businesses to residents and visitors.
Last year a woman said she hadn’t known about a particular business.
“Now I see her and she is a customer,” Kienlen said.
She also said the commission advertised in local papers, sent out postcards to a 20-mile radius and promoted the event on social media.
“We asked the participants to put it on their social media too,” she said.
Wristbands will be sold for access to all establishments at $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event at Riley Park.
They can be purchased on EventBrite.com or at borough hall, 701 Main Street.
