With the school year coming to a close and the summer season just around the corner, the Tinton Falls Library has planned activities and events to keep everyone entertained and engaged for the next several months.

One of the newest programs to be offered at the borough library will be a workshop series entitled “Build a Better Life.” Set for Thursday evenings on June 8, July 6, and August 3, the adults-only classes will focus on decluttering and organization with possible expansion into meal planning (body) and wellness (mind) in the near future.

Coordinated by Alison DeVito, Library Assistant, and Christine Anderson, Library Media Specialist/Teen Program and Cataloging, the series subject matter is a “hot topic right now,” according to DeVito who added that there is a “clear need for guidance” in this area.

“The idea for this series came about because we had hosted author/organizing expert Dana K. White earlier in the year. It was standing room only! We hope to give people the tools to help them improve their lives in a relaxed setting, when they will feel comfortable and where they will be able to connect with others,” she said.

Jessica Carroll of Organize by Design will be the speaker and attendance at all workshops is encouraged as this is an ongoing series. Organizing topics discussed will be determined by audience request and interest. The program is free and open to the public, adults only.

Other events scheduled for the upcoming summer months include in June: Lego Club – June 12, 4 to 5 p.m.; Grades K-3 Book Bingo – June 19, 7 to 8 p.m. and the Summer Reading Kick Off event on June 21 at 4 p.m. at the Tinton Falls borough hall with One Man Circus with Kevin C. Carr.

In July scheduled events include: Lego Club – July 7, 4 to 5 p.m; PJ Storytime – July 13 at 7 p.m. and Book Bingo – July 17 for adults and kids from 7 to 8 p.m. with two separate events for adults and for children. In August events for the month include: PJ Storytime – August 10 at 7pm; Lego Club – August 14, 4pm to 5pm. “The Build a Better Library” Book Sale will run June 26 through August 19 during regular library hours.

For more information or to sign up for any of the library programs call the Tinton Falls LIbrary at 732-542-3110.
