July is Family Month at William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace, 1003 Wickapecko Dr., Ocean Township and families are encouraged to enjoy some fun, uninterrupted time together on the golf course this month.
To promote the game of golf as a healthy family activity, youth ages 7 – 17 golf free every day in July. There is a limit of one free golfer per paying adult.
PGA Pro Dale Shankland will host a free Family Golf Clinic on Sunday, July 9 at 1 pm. The one-hour clinic will feature demos, games and a putting contest. Participation is free but pre-registration is required. Call 732-775-3636 or visit the clubhouse to register.
The 2017 Junior Tour for golfers ages 4-17 kicks off Thurs., July 13. The tour consists of four events held on consecutive Thursdays, ending with the Junior Championship on Aug. 3. More information can be found in the clubhouse or at ColonialTerraceGolf.org.
The annual Adult/Child Golf 9-Hole Golf Tournament takes place on Sun., July 16, beginning at 2 p.m. Adults and children will team up and enjoy some friendly competition at the Township’s beautiful 9-hole golf course. The tournament is open to youth age 7 – 17 accompanied by an adult team member (over 21). Golfers of all levels are invited to participate in this fun family event. William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace, Ocean Township’s beautiful municipal regulation 9-hole golf course, offers more than 2,600 yards of golf in a spectacular setting conveniently located near Route 35. Hours are 7 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week, weather permitting.
