Find something for everyone Fri., July 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove where piano music and art will be featured on all three floors of this historic landmark building.
Everyone is welcome to tour the galleries, mingle over refreshments and listen to the ethereal sounds of guest vocal and instrumental composer, David Ross Lawn.
Arts center resident artist, Little Bobby Duncan, is one of 40 visual artists displaying work in the current exhibition, “This Great Earth”. From grand scale paintings of historic Ocean Grove in the third floor gallery, to his newest sculpture and drawings on the first floor, to current works always in the making in his studio at the arts center, this New Jersey native radiates an extraordinary mastery of many mediums. With a BA from Rice University and an MFA from the University of St Louis, Duncan’s extensive career as a muralist, painter, sculptor, printmaker and jewelry designer has brought his creative perspectives to private and corporate collections nationwide. Whether it be a commissioned portrait, an impromptu creation, or a special request, he always brings joy to the act of creating.
More than 100 visual works for sale in the mediums of painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, wood, mixed media, fiber, stone and metal bring the outdoors in through the eyes of over 40 nature- inspired artists from Colorado, New Hampshire, New York City and the Jersey Shore.
