Rock ‘n Remember, an afternoon of stories and sharing sponsored by the Bradley Beach Historical Society will be held on three historic porches from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 15.
Guests will be able to stroll from porch to porch to hear professional storytellers recount tales from the town’s colorful past and view exhibits of memorabilia from the society’s extensive collection. Refreshments will be served.
Stories will be told on all porches at 1:15; 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. At 309 Ocean Ave.: Salty and Sandy Tales from the Lifeguard Stand; 312 Evergreen Ave.: Famous and Infamous Bradley Personalities and 212 Brinley Ave.: Life at the LaReine, Queen of the Bradley Hotels
A $20 admission covers entry to all three porches. Proceeds benefit the Bradley Beach
Historical Society, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving the rich history of this seaside resort incorporated in 1893.
Wristbands can be purchased in advance at Bradley Beach Cinema (110 Main St.), Paws and
Anchor (614 Main St.), Present (706 LaReine Ave.), Hair Love Salon (121 Main St.), Stockroom Modern General Store (625 2nd Ave.), and Stockroom Men’s Clothing Store (122 Main St.).
They will also be sold on the Bradley Boardwalk as well as on each participating porch on Sept. 15.
