Ocean Township will seek to improve parking near the William F. Larking golf course and improve the recreational park at Appleby Avenue – both off Wickapecko Drive in the Wanamassa section-under two resolution passed at the last Township Council meeting.
The council held a public hearing on the separate two applications to the Monmouth County Open Space program, each grant has a $250,000 maximum.
“We hope to increase parking by the (Larkin) golf course and spruce it up a bit there,” Siciliano said about the one application.
He said improvements to the Appleby Avenue park will include a synthetic surface “that is friendlier to children. It is a synthetic surface that will last longer and look nice- we want to spruce it up as well,” Siciliano said.
