On Sat., Dec. 8 at the Stephen Crane House, 508 Fourth Ave., Asbury Park it will be the third and last screening of former city Mayor Ed Johnson’s current film series. The film will be the 1935 “Ruggles of Red Gap.”
The movie stars Charles Laughton, an actor of incredible range, but one not usually associated with comedy. The film begins at 3 p.m. runs 90 minutes and was directed by Leo McCarey.
As usual there is no charge for admission, but attendees may bring along a new unwrapped toy for the Asbury Park Toy Drive. Refreshments will be available, too. So take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season for some laughs among friends.
