On Sun., Dec.16 at 3 p.m. at the Stephen Crane House, 508 4th Ave., Asbury Park it’s time once again for “Season’s Readings: a Crane House Christmas.”
This will be the 17th annual edition and will include four contemporary seasonal short stories read by the faithful Crane House readers, some poems, perhaps a song or too, and, of course, refreshments.
As usual, there is no cost for admission, but you may donate, if you wish, to the Asbury Park Little League, or perhaps bring along an unwrapped toy for the Asbury Park Toy Drive for the city’s great kids. Those who just can’t get enough of the old house (and have gotten all of their shopping done) are welcome to stick around after 5 p.m. for a screening of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” with Gene Wilder for the children in all of us.
