The construction of four new apartments with ground level retail is underway at Fourth Avenue and Main Street in Asbury Park.
Developed by Fasano Properties the building will also have nine on-site parking spaces.
The four apartments will each have a balcony and dedicated tenant parking in the rear.
By giving each apartment one parking space developers had to cut down on parking for retail customers.
But an investigation by the developer found there are 137 on-street parking spaces in the surrounding area.

The parcel was previously the site of a Getty Station which has been demolished and remediated.
