Asbury Park ALIVE! is a free citywide event scheduled to take place Sat., May 4 and will provide a safe space for a variety of activities.
The event will close Springwood and Lake Avenues to cars—providing a safe space for walking, running, biking, skating and social activities. It will feature health information, food, art and music in an effort to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen the community of Asbury Park.
The city is seeking 50 volunteers to help make this first time event a success. Volunteers would be need to donate their time on May 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. Roles include Block Captains, Intersection Monitors, Barricade Attendants, Running an Activity, and Set-up/Clean-up Help.
