Party at Collective Art Tank in Asbury Park
Rescue Ridge animal rescue is hosting its first art fundraising event and party May 5 to May 11 at the Collective Art Tank in Asbury Park.
The “Remembering Mom” art show will be kicked off with an Art Opening Party Sun., May 5 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The “Remembering Mom” art show commemorates Eleanor Shoneman, an artist and lifelong animal lover and volunteer who died in October. Her original watercolor and pastel artwork—featuring many botanical pieces, along with antique dolls and nudes—will be available for purchase. Suggested donation prices start at $50 and 100 percent of all sales will go directly to the dogs and cats of Rescue Ridge.
This will be a non-traditional art show featuring snacks, wine, and adoptable pets. Guitarist-singer Mike Barris, known for his distinctive renditions of vintage jazz and blues music, will entertain guests with his gentle guitar strummings.
Following the opening party, Eleanor’s artwork will be available for viewing and purchase every day from Sunday May 5, 1 pm to 5 pm through Saturday, May 11. Private viewings can also be arranged by emailing mechele@mecheleannajewelry.com
All funds raised help get local dogs and cats out of shelters and placed with their forever homes. Rescue Ridge is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible.
Rescue Ridge is a ‘last-chance’ all-breed 501c3 animal rescue. Staffed 100 percent through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals in New Jersey that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them.
