The annual book sale by the Ladies Auxiliary in Ocean Grove begins tonight (June 27) in Auditorium Pavilion. The event is celebrating its 25th year. The sales runs June 28 from 10 to 7 p.m. and June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sale generates a substantial amount of revenue for the Auxiliary which benefits the Ocean Grove community. Last year the event made $13,000.
The volunteer crew of women and men have sorted approximately 800 boxes of books into 31 categories over seven mornings since Memorial Day. A crew of teens and youth minister interns, along with adult community volunteers unloaded those 800 boxes recently.
