The Deal Lake Watershed Alliance will be holding a Lakeside Cocktail Party and Silent Auction on Sat., July 27, with money raised used to help reduce pollution in Deal lake.
DLWA is a registered non-profit corporation with 501c(3) status pending. Since its inception in July of last year the DLWA has been collaborating with marine science and water resource experts at Rutgers University, Monmouth University and Clean Ocean Action to develop solutions that will reduce stormwater runoff pollution in Deal Lake and the ocean
“We are proud to commit the money raised at the event directly to research, community education and lake improvement projects,” DLWA President Laura McBride said.
The event, to be held at 3 Hetrick Point Road in Ocean Township, will have live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction in a beautiful lakefront setting. Proceeds are designated for DLWA and the restoration of Deal Lake. Admission is $60 in advance, $75 at the door.
