The Asbury Park City Council will host Coffee with a Councilperson events to provide an opportunity for residents to get to know their elected officials, ask questions and provide comment.
Events will be hosted at various locations throughout the city with two members of City Council in attendance at each event. Planned Coffee with a Councilperson dates include:
• Tues., July 30 at 10 a.m. – Booskerdoo located at 1321A Memorial Drive
• Thurs., Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. – High Voltage located at 808 Springwood Avenue
• Sat., Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. – Kula Cafe located at 1201 Springwood Avenue
“We hosted our first Coffee with a Councilperson earlier this year during NJ Local Government Week and it was a great success,” Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton said. “The events provide a casual environment for residents to get to know us and is a great opportunity for the citizens of Asbury Park to become more informed about the many services the City provides.”
“We encourage all residents to attend a Coffee with a Councilperson event,” Councilwoman Eileen Chapman said. “It’s an easy and fun way for residents to find out what’s happening in Asbury Park and learn about ways they can be actively involved in our city.”
