The League of Women Voters is hosting a forum for the District 11 Assembly candidate on Wed., Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Board of Education Administration building, 163 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst.
Incumbents, Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling, Democrats, are seeking their third two-year term. Challengers Mike Amoroso and Matt Woolley, Republicans hope to switch the district back into the Republican column.
A wide range of issues separate the two slates. “Although state taxes are always a topic in New Jersey, several social and other policy issues will also face the next state legislature.
Bring your questions to the forum to hear your issues discussed by the candidates,” said Evelyn Murphy, local League Voter Service Director.
The forum which will be recorded for viewing on the League website www.LWVsmc.org and on Ocean TV is sponsored jointly by the Leagues of Southern Monmouth County and the Greater Red Bank Area.
