The Allenhurst Police Department purchased gifts and wrapped them for children who were passengers in vehicles stopped by officers.
Officers purchased more toys than they handed out, and gave the excess toys to The Unterberg Children’s Hospital, at Monmouth Medical Center.
“There is no greater gift than to see the expression on a child’s face when they unwrap a present, especially the unexpected one. I am very proud of the officers that came up with this idea and made sure that all the gifts were delivered to the children,”. said Chief Michael Schneider
