During Christmas week, numerous burglaries were reported throughout many buildings in the downtown area of Asbury Park, said Asbury Park Police Communications Director, Michael Casey.
Items taken include cash and packages belonging to area residents and businesses.
A cash register and tip jar containing approximately $700 was also stolen from the Laylow Cocktail Lounge on Mattison Avenue.
During the course of the investigation of these crimes, the Asbury Park Police identified Lamont Turner, 50, and Damion Davis, 47, both of Asbury Park, as the offenders.
Davis was arrested and charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft.
Turner was arrested and charged with seven counts of burglary and six counts of theft.
Both subjects are currently being held at Monmouth County Correctional Institute.
