A 24-year-old Asbury Park man was shot at his Dewitt Avenue residence Mon., March 23 and later died at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Asbury Park police responded to a 911 call at about 11:36 p.m., reporting a man was shot at his residence in the 100 block of Dewitt Avenue in the city. Asbury Park police arrived to find Christian Lahens, 24, with a gunshot wound. Lahens was transported Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 12:16 a.m.
A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Asbury Park Police Department is active and ongoing.
