Updates on Asbury Parking and Sewer and Tax Payments

These parking and transportation updates for Asbury Park are effective immediately and until further notice:

Metered parking regulations will be reinstated beginning Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m. Metered parking regulations had been suspended since March 22.. Residents will be required follow paid parking guidelines and are urged to use the Park Mobile app (www.parkmobile.io) for payment instead of parking kiosks to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Alternate side parking regulations for street cleaning will continue to be suspended until further notice. Regulations have been suspended since March 22.

Weekend public parking hours in Bangs Avenue Parking Garage will continue to be suspended until further notice. (Resident Permit Holders will still have access). Public parking hours in the garage have been suspended since March 22.

Scooter share program will continue to be suspended until further notice (scooters will not be deployed).

Bike share program will continue to be suspended until further notice (bikes have been removed from pick up locations).

Parking and transportation updates will be continue to be provided as information changes.

Asbury Park’s grace period for tax and sewer payments due May 1 has been extended to June 1 under the governor’s order which was signed this week  to provide relief to homeowners struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Asbury Park homeowners will be able to pay by June 1 without incurring interest costs or penalties. For payments received after June 1 interest will revert back to May 1.

Payments can be made online or dropped off at the after-hours drop box to the left of the main entrance of City Hall located at 1 Municipal Plaza.
