In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bradley Beach Tourism is utilizing its virtual platform to offer even more exposure for emerging artists, especially ones who may have had recently canceled art shows.
To support local artists, Bradley Beach Tourism is now offering a virtual art celebration this weekend. It comes after a number of exhibitions and events have been cancelled as a result of the pandemic, and at a time when the arts and culture sectors are particularly hurting.
“This celebration is meant to bring together the art community and those who are interested in art. With everything going on in the news, people can use art as an escape to keep their spirits high. We are blessed to have so much talent in our local area,” said Director of Tourism Amy Hall. “This is a unique opportunity during these times to browse at leisure, get to know some new artists, and if you possibly can, support the arts at a time when artists really need it.”.
Not only will art lovers be able to view the pieces, they have the opportunity to purchase them online. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go towards supporting the arts in the community and the studios who provided the work. Upon purchase, arrangements will be made for the artwork to be picked up or delivered to homes.
