“I am excited. I feel like I can bring a lot of hard work to the table,” Delia said earlier this week.

Delia, 41, has lived in Interlaken for six years and is an account manager for the John Deere company. He is married and has two children.

He said that local Republicans asked him if he would consider taking White’s seat and he agreed. He was one of three candidates selected for the seat. He will have to run again this November to win the right to serve the rest of White’s two-year unexpired term.

As far as any kind of agenda. Delia said he would just like to help the current council move forward,

“I think they are doing a great job and I want to continue to lay this footprint out,” he said.

Delia is a member and ex-chief of the Deal Fire Department. He said this is his first foray into politics.
