There will soon be a new area restaurant and bar, and the good news is it has a large outside area for coronavirus-era dining.
Once called McGillicuddy’s, the new Deal Lake Bar and Co. will be serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Located on Main Street in Loch Arbour it also fronts on Deal Lake offering a beautiful lakeside dining area.
New owners Phil Villapiano, Andrea Pappas and Greg Bartz have been working hard preparing the restaurant and bar for a possible mid August opening.
The building has been completely renovated inside and out, with blue awnings replacing the Mansard roof.
Inside only the load-bearing walls were kept giving it an open concept floor plan.
There are also two bars inside, with plenty of TVs and a long outside bar facing the large outside patio.
The atmosphere will be upscale casual, offering American cuisine, focused on rotisserie, with burgers and wings along with entrees and daily specials.
Villapiano said the kitchen will be upscale, serving only fresh food.
“We’ll have the rotisserie to keep things moving,” he said.
It will also be a family oriented restaurant with live entertainment, but not bands, for a later crowd.
Villapiano is also focused on providing a fun environment.
“Good times at all times we say,” he said.
