“He was thrown off his surfboard and hit the ocean floor head first. He almost drowned and was rushed to Jersey Shore (University Hospital, Neptune),” she said. “Aaron loved to surf, ski, snowboard and he is the kindest young man I’ve ever met! He would do anything to help anyone.”

Carr is still in the hospital but will be moved to Kessler rehabilitation facility next week.

Harrison pleaded on Facebook for prayers and a miracle to help her nephew walk again.

“His home will need to be retrofitted big time to accommodate his needs. He will also need equipment and help with co-pays,” she said.

The family has said they will keep everyone updated on Facebook.

Harrison said for those having trouble with the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/donate/899844703859591/, checks can be made out to Ruthanne Harrison (please write in memo “for Aaron Carr”) and mail c/o Rue Events, 400 6th Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712, or email to rue@rueevents.com.

As of this week $92,152 of $125,000 has been raised.
