Ocean Township police arrested a Toms River man on drug charges Aug. 22 in the parking lot of the Tower Motel.
Police said at approximately 9 p.m. Police Officer Dean Schoch was on patrol in the area of the Tower Motel on Route 35. when he noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the motel lot.
In the vehicle was a male, later identified as Robert Andrew, 51, of Toms River.. Schoch eventually made contact with Andrews and his investigation determined Andrews to be in possession of heroin and related paraphernalia.
Andrews was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed. He was charged with possession of heroin and a hypodermic syringe. He was later released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.
