Here’s hoping the third is the charm!
The Asbury Park Mayor’s Rodeo for Recreation originally scheduled for April and then rescheduled for this month has now been rescheduled again to Thurs., April 29, 2021, all due to the pandemic.
The country-themed evening at the Stone Pony will feature live music, a buffet dinner and one hour open bar. The event is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Proceeds will raise money for the Recreation Department’s six week summer recreation program, which includes trips to Fun Time America, Medieval Times and Asbury Park beaches and businesses.
In the fall of 2015, Mayor John Moor said: “I will do whatever I can to ensure no Asbury Park child will be turned away from this program because of limited funding. Due to the overwhelming positive response, since 2016 no Asbury Park child has been turned away from the program. The goal was met and with your support we will meet that goal again.”
Tickets are $85 each. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information on sponsor packages or tickets, please contact Cassandra.Dickerson@cityofasbu
