Carl Chesna and Company will perform a live-streamed holiday concert from The Saint in Asbury Park on Wed., Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. to raise money for the Asbury Park Dinner Table and Fulfill.

Both organizations’ exist to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in Asbury Park as well as Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Patrons will be able to donate during the hour-and-a-half, two-set show on The Saint’s website, or afterwards on either the Asbury Park Dinner Table or Fulfill’s websites.

“As a long-time resident and musician of Asbury Park, I am inspired by the willingness of the community to come together and donate their time and money to support all of those in need during this unprecedented era,” Chesna said. “We know what a difficult time the holidays can be even under ’normal’ circumstances, so we thought it was even more important right now to help raise everyone’s spirits through music and let people know that they are not alone.”

“It is so important to keep the energy of live music performances going in anyway we can, until we can all safely be together again in person at The Saint, or any live music venue across the country and around the world,” said Scott Stamper, owner of The Saint in Asbury Park. “I am honored to be able to help raise both awareness and money to address the growing issue of hunger that has impacted so many people and families in and around the Jersey Shore.”

The virtual show, sponsored by Preferred Properties of Allenhurst and Rumson and private donors is free to anyone who wishes to attend—donations of any size are accepted, but not required. The show will also be edited by Motion City Media and posted on the participating parties’ websites following the event to enable online donations throughout the holiday season.

Participants include:
Asbury Park Dinner Table – Asbury Park Dinner Table’s mission is to support local restaurants while feeding local families experiencing food insecurity in Asbury Park.

Fulfill NJ – The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties is now Fulfill. We work to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

The Saint -The Saint’s mission is to present and preserve live original music at the Jersey Shore. Located at 601 Main Street, Asbury Park.
