Students in the Asbury Park School District will remain on full-remote instruction tentatively through Jan. 19.
The district has been carefully monitoring public health data provided by the Monmouth County Health Department. This information has guided all decisions from the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Out of an abundance of caution and the desire to reduce classroom density, as well as our on-campus footprint, all students, teachers and para-professionals will remain on full-remote instruction.
This anticipated return date may change based on data from the local health department.
The district has also put all recommended safety measures in place and as a result the positive case count remains low with no in-school transmissions, officials said.
The district has many resources available online to assist families. As a result, all buildings including the Dorothy L. McNish Parent Center will be open daily if students or parents need to be connected to resources or need assistance with technology.
