The Take Out Bradley Beach initiative launched this week in an effort to help the restaurants in the borough.
One of the industries hit hardest during Covid has been the restaurant industry. In an effort to sustain their dining establishments, Take Out Bradley Beach encourages area residents to pledge support and take out at least one meal every week during the winter of 2021.
The idea was the collaborative development between Mayor Larry Fox and the Department of Tourism Director, Amy Hall.
The initiative launches with the website www.visitbradleybeach.com/open-for-business where visitors can view the list of food, baked goods and coffee options in Bradley Beach. Links to business menus, hours and websites will be available. Sign-Up to take the pledge and receive a sticker of support to help share the campaign.
All participants who register for free will also be entered into a raffle to win $100 gift card. Use the hashtag #takeoutbradleybeach along with photos to really show support for the borough’s dining destinations.
“The borough of Bradley Beach supports our small businesses, and this is one small project to help our restaurants survive,” Mayor Fox said.
Tourism Director Hall added, “Don’t forget to tip! Take out requires equal or greater effort to prepare. Wait staff depends on tips for their livelihood.”
