Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women undergoing treatment for cancer, will host its First Annual Swing for the Soul Golf Outing on Monday, June 21 at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune.
Proceeds from the event will support the guests of Mary’s Place, who receive all services, meals, and accommodations at no cost during their visit.
The mission of Mary’s Place is to support women with cancer through integrative services which complement their medical treatment and empower, educate and support their healing: mind, body, and soul. The non-profit organization has served over 11,000 women since its founding in 2009. Last March, Mary’s Place by the Sea had to close the doors to its home temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mary’s Place quickly pivoted to a virtual services platform, offering women with cancer the opportunity to take part in healing services and connect with others during an extremely isolating time. The Virtual Services Program has become a new mainstay of the organization, serving over 600 women each month from throughout the country.
Mary’s Place by the Sea is open once again for in-person day retreats while continuing to offer virtual services.
The $225 Golf Entry Fee includes continental breakfast, barbecue lunch, 18 hole greens fee & cart, use of locker rooms, contest holes, and more. For more information, please contact Kara Grimes, Communications Manager at 732-455-5344 or kgrimes@marysplacebythesea.org
