COVID-19 Vaccinations at St. Michael’s Church in the Elberon section of Long Branch is offering Covid-19 vaccinations Sat., Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon, Sun., Sept.. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Mon., Sept. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
St. Michael’s Church is participating with the New Jersey Department of Health and the Chemed Company in the Grateful for the Shot program to provide Covid vaccinations (using the Pfizer vaccine) free of charge in the St. Michael’s Lower Church.
No appointment is necessary and there is no need to provide identification
documentation or insurance documentation. First come, first served. For those unable to walk down and up the Lower Church stairs, a tent will be set-up in the church parking lot where you may receive the Covid vaccination.
St. Michaels Church, Long Branch has scheduled a 9/11 Memorial Mass at 8 a.m. Sat., Sept. 11 for the eternal rest of the 9/11 victims, for the survivors of those attacks and their families, for first responders, and for peace and an end to terrorism and violence. The Rosary will be prayed immediately
Following the Mass that morning for those same intentions and the church bells will be tolled at 8:46, 9:03, 9:37, and 10:03 – the times of the four airplane crashes.
Confessions will be moved from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (prior to Mass) that morning. Eucharistic Adoration and silent prayer will take place following the completion of the Rosary until 10:30 a.m. All are invited and welcome.
