Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, founded in 1923 in Asbury Park, has a nearly 100-year history of serving students and families throughout the Asbury Park community. As a result of the work of many educators, our graduates have become doctors, nurses, financial consultants, engineers, educators, religious women and priests.
The school is hosting a Meet and Greet Event May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school gym/parish center. The evening will include tours of the school by students, a small auction, light fare, wine, beer, etc.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the presence of the school and to garner support for the newly formed Carmel Connection Foundation. The Foundation which was founded for the financial support of the school is in need of help to fund a multi-million dollar endowment.
Donations can be mailed to Mt. Carmel School at 1220 Asbury Ave., Asbury Park NJ 07712. Checks should be made payable to Carmel Connection Foundation. Gift cards or donated items may be dropped off at the school or can be picked up at your place of business by calling Sr. Jude at 732-513-4496.
