The St. George Greek Orthodox Church said the Jersey Shore Greek Festival is returning beginning Fri., Oct. 14 from 5 to 11 p.m. and running Sat., Oct. 15 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 16 from 1 to 8 p.m.
The church’s last full festival took place in 2019 prior to the outbreak of Covid. In 2021 a successful “To Go” festival was held to offer food and pastries to the community. This year the full festival is back on the grounds of St. George Church, 1033 West Park Ave., Ocean Township.
Those attending are asked to sample the full menu of amazing homemade Greek food, frappe, Greek coffee and pastries. There will also be performances by Greek dancers. In addition there will be games and an opportunity to shop in the Agora Marketplace to pick up some gift items.
There will also be a church tour to learn more about the parish and the Orthodox faith.
Free parking and shuttle buses will be at both the Wayside School and Intermediate School on the fifth grade side.
Admission to the festival is $2, children under 6 are free. A portion of the festival proceeds goes to benefit local charities.
