The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its annual Awards and Installation Luncheon at The Renaissance, Ocean Township Tues., March 21 sponsored by Paramount Realty.
The annual luncheon is the chamber’s opportunity to honor local 2023 high school senior scholarships winners as well as acknowledge outstanding community service by distinguished representatives of the Greater Ocean Township community.
The scholarship program’s mission is to help defray college expenses for well-rounded college-bound students who have not only excelled academically but managed to find the time for extra-curricular activities both inside and outside school.
The Chamber will also be honoring various distinguished members of the Greater Ocean Township community. This year’s honorees are:
Community Ambassador: Former Mayor Christopher Siciliano.
Educational Ambassador: Dr. David Stout, President, Brookdale Community College
Environmental / Sustainability Award: Donald Brockel, Deal Lake Commission
Longevity Award: Eugene Dente, Fences by Dente
Community Service Award: Community Hope Fund
Chamber of Commerce Years of Service Awards: Katherine King and John ‘Doc’ Amato
The GOTCC will also install three new members to the Board of Directors at the luncheon: Perry Weyser, Goode and Weyser CPA, Jennifer Gorka, New Jersey Natural Gas, Scott Garland, Kearny Bank will be inducted to the 2023 Board of Directors.
“We are excited to continue this long tradition of recognizing outstanding local high school students and our notable community leaders,” said Board President David Kolakowski. “It’s been a challenging couple of years for both students and local citizens but as always, many individuals rise to the occasion and accomplish extraordinary deeds. We look forward to the opportunity of honoring them at this annual event.”
