Ellen E. Frey, 75, of Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after striking a parked car on Ocean Avenue in Bradley Beach and continuing on without reporting the accident, police said.
A citizen witnessed the accident and contacted the police, who were able to find and stop Frey. Investigation revealed she was intoxicated. Frey was additionally charged with motor vehicle offenses related to the hit and run accident. Police Officer Sean Johnsen made the arrest and was assisted by Police Officer Kevin Gale.
The Bradley Beach Police Department investigated two motor vehicle accidents between Feb. 8 and Feb. 21.
