Officers assisted a Main Street business, after receiving a report of a possible fraudulent check. Sgt Lipari was the involved officer, who was able to resolve the issue.
2/17/23
Officers responded to Main Street for a report of individuals trying to gain access to the abandoned JCP&L building. Officers located three juveniles and they were strongly advised about trespassing on the property. Parents of all three juveniles were notified. Chief Schneider, Sgt Lipari and Ptl Rapolla were the responding officers.
2/18/23
Officers were dispatched to Main Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. As officers were being dispatched, an Allenhurst officer was already trying to stop one of the suspects. The pursuit of that vehicle was eventually terminated, due to the reckless manner the vehicle was being operated. The stolen vehicle was determined to be unlocked and running in front of a Main Street business at the time of the theft. The vehicle was recovered the next day in Newark and was impounded. Police are reminding everyone to lock vehicles and take the key fobs out, anytime they leave the car unoccupied, even if only for a few minutes.

Police charged a 45-year-old Red Bank man with speeding and reckless driving after he was observed traveling on Ocean Avenue at more than 65 mph. He was processed and released on 2 summonses with a mandatory court date. Ptl Williams was the involved officer.

Police arrested a 31-year-old Long Branch woman on an outstanding Allenhurst warrant. She was processed and released, with a new court date, after posting partial cash bail. Ptl Bailey was the arresting officer.2/22/23
After stopping a 40-year old Long Branch man for a motor vehicle violation, police found he was unlicensed (never having had a license). He was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date. Ptl Rapolla was the arresting officer.

Officers responded to an Elberon Avenue residence for a report of a problem a resident was having with a neighbor’s dog. Sgt DiBona was the investigating officer.

Police stopped a 22-year old Deal man for a speeding violation and found he was unlicensed (never having had a license). He was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date. Ptl Eustace was the arresting officer.
Between Feb 16 to Feb. 28 officers responded to 1 first aid/fire calls within the borough.
Allenhurst officers responded to two calls involving a suspicious person or vehicle during this time period as well.
Officers also responded to 6 residential and commercial alarm calls during the above time period.
