Marqwell T. Nichols, 32 of Seventh ,Avenue, Neptune, was charged with six motor vehicle burglary and attempted burglaries in Bradley Beach.
The police department fielded reports of several motor vehicle burglaries that occurred overnight March 30 and follow up investigation by the detective bureau identified the suspect via surveillance videos. A local alert was broadcasted with the suspect’s photograph which prompted another jurisdiction to stop him based on Bradley Beach information.
The stop revealed he was the suspect. He is alleged to have been responsible for several other burglaries in neighboring towns including Ocean Township the night he was stopped. Det. Christopher Wilson led the investigation and ultimately charged Nichols for the crimes.
The Bradley Beach Police Department investigated seven motor vehicle accidents between March 21, 2023 and April 11, 2023.
