A shooting July 3 that left one person dead and two others injured in Asbury Park last night is under active investigation, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Mon., July 3, members of the Asbury Park Police Department were dispatched to the Asbury Park Gardens apartment complex on Atlantic Avenue on a report of a shooting. At that location officers quickly located the three victims, all adult males who had sustained injuries.
All three individuals were rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment. Two were found to have sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, while the third was pronounced deceased shortly after their arrival at the hospital.
The identity of the deceased is being temporarily withheld pending notification of family.
