Luis M. Hernandez-Girling, 34 of Oceanport was arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle on Main Street. Special Officer Daniel Ortiz witnessed Hernandez-Girling pulling on car door handles and called for patrol response. Sgt. William Major and Ptlm. Justin Poblete responded and investigated the matter, ultimately arresting and charging Hernandez-Girling based on facts and evidence.
July 6
John Crowl, 71, of Evergreen Avenue, Bradley Beach was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was found to be involved in a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Crowl struck a parked car and fled the scene. Special Jake Tringalli, however, was able to provide a description of the vehicle and its direction of travel. Police Officer Justin Poblete quickly located the vehicle and subsequent investigation led to the arrest for the charges.
July 9
Bradley Beach Police Headquarters: Stepney Shakai, 24, of Broad Street, Summit was charged with criminal mischief while in police custody. Shakai was arrested by Neptune City PD, who was utilizing the Alcotest machine for breath samples. Shakai was uncooperative during the testing and purposely urinated on and in a nearby trash can in the processing area. Police Officer. Edwin Hernandez handled the incident for the police.
July 11
Rashon Sexton, of Neptune was arrested and charged with theft on Ocean Park Avenue. A field contact based on suspicious circumstances revealed he had just stolen a bicycle which was unlocked in a backyard. Police Officer Sean Johnsen made the arrest.
The Bradley Beach Police Department arrested one subject on an active contempt of court warrant and investigated 15motor vehicle accidents between June 27 and July 25.
