The Asbury Park Community Farm Stand is scheduled to open Sat., May 18.
In addition, the Environmental Shade Tree Commission is hosting garden tours June 22 and July 20 at 10 a.m.
At the farm stand free, fresh produce is distributed Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. through October (or until supplies last) at the Asbury Park Farm Stand located at the corner of Bangs and Memorial Avenues.
A variety of produce is available including okra, tomatoes, eggplant, beets, cabbage, squash, beans, carrots, cucumbers and more.
Produce availability depends on weather. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. The farm stand is the work of the Asbury Park Environmental Shade Tree Commission. Rain dates are Sundays.
Tours of the Community Garden are held weather permitting. Commission volunteers will discuss how plants are grown, cared for and harvested.
