The Asbury Park Police Department made the following arrests July 2 through July 9.
- On July 2 a 47-year-old male resident of Neptune was arrested at the Sunset Avenue Park and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking following a previously reported investigation of bicycle theft. Patrolman Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On July 3 a 65-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested outside the municipal building for a contempt of court warrant out of Asbury Park. He was processed and released with a new court date. Patrolman Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On July 3 a 57-year-old male resident of Long Branch was arrested at 1100 Atlantic Ave. for criminal trespassing, multiple contempt of court warrants, hindering his apprehension, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (crack cocaine) and paraphernalia. During processing the male refused to be fingerprinted and was charged accordingly. The male was transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court date. Patrolman Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On July 3 a 23-year-old male resident of Farmingdale was arrested for an active warrant out of of Asbury Park for a previously reported incident. The male was found to be in possession of and charged with a 9mm handgun with a large capacity magazine and prohibited ammunition. He was also found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance Heroin, Amphetamine and Ecstasy. He was additionally charged with certain persons not to possess weapons. He was processed and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Detective Terrence McGhee was the arresting officer.
- On July 4 a 29-year-old male resident of Monroe Township, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash on Memorial Drive and Asbury Avenue. Patrolman Sean McGrady was the arresting officer.
- On July 5 a 35-year-old male resident of Middletown was arrested for a contempt of court warrant out of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. He was processed and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Lorenzo Pettway was the arresting officer.
- On July 9 a 57-year-old male resident of Middletown was arrested in the 100 block of Memorial Drive and charged with defiant trespass. He was processed at headquarters and released on a summons. Patrolman William Lewis was the arresting officer.
- On July 9 a 64-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of Summerfield Avenue and Comstock Street and charged with aggravated assault, weapons offenses and certain persons not to possess weapons. He was processed at headquarters and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution with a court appearance pending. Patrolman Andrew Slinger was the arresting officer.
- On July 6 a 34-year-old female resident of Fishkall was arrested and charged at Cookman Avenue and Main Street with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. A 34-year-old female resident of Kingston, NY was also charged with obstruction during the incident. Both were processed and released on summonses. Patrolman John Walsh and Craig Breiner were the arresting officers.
- On July 6 a 37-year-old female resident of Neptune was arrested at Bangs Avenue and Prospect Avenue for multiple contempt of court warrants. She was processed at headquarters and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court date. Patrolwoman Valcin was the arresting officer.
- On July 6 a 64-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested at the transportation center for a contempt of court warrant out of Ocean, NJ. He was released on his own recognizance. Patrolman John Walsh was the arresting Officer.
- On July 6 a 37-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested at 913 Ocean Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct. He was processed at headquarters and released on a summons. Patrolman Mark Walsh was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 29-year-old male resident of Asbury Park, NJ was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash in the 1500 block of Bangs Avenue. Patrolman Michael Treadway was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 49-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested for contempt of court warrants out of Asbury Park and Monmouth County Superior Court. He was processed at headquarters and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Samuel Rodriguez was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 47-year-old male resident of Neptune was arrested in the 100 block of Prospect Avenue and charged with criminal trespass. Male was also found to have a contempt of court warrant out of Ocean Township. He was released on his own recognizance for the warrant and on a summons for trespassing. Patrolman Anthony Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 25-year-old male resident of Asbury Park, NJ was arrested for contempt of courts warrants out of Asbury Park and Neptune Township. He was processed at headquarters and released pending a new court date. Patrolman Matthew Buttermark was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 27-year-old female resident of Neptune was arrested at a crash scene at Summerfield Avenue Langford Street and charged with being an unlicensed driver. She was processed at headquarters and released on a summons. Patrolman Richard Thomas was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 39-year-old male resident of Neptune, NJ was arrested in the 1000 block of Main Street and charged with assault. He was processed at headquarters and released on a summons. Patrolman Fidencio Flores was the arresting officer.
- On July 7 a 37-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested for a contempt of court warrant out of Ocean Township. He was additionally charged with drug paraphernalia. The male was turned over to Ocean Township Police. Patrolman Anthony Arancio was the arresting officer.
- Officers responded to or initiated 901 calls for service between July 2nd, and July 9th, 2024, including 32 motor vehicle accidents; 21 alarms; 7 assaults; 4 burglary reports; 4 criminal mischief; 10 crisis interventions; 68 disorderly persons; 3 domestic disputes; 4 fire calls(assist), 37 first aid calls. Officers issued 64 summonses(Motor Vehicle/Municipal) and conducted 71 motor vehicle stops.
