On July 13 on Lake Terrace Kerry D. Castro, 25, of Ocean Township was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Castro was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident with a parked car and when patrols investigated they found him to be impaired. Ptlm. Edwin Hernandez made the arrest.
On July 20 on Ocean Avenue John M. Redunski, 56, of Asbury Park was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and resisting arrest. Sgt. Josephine Celauro was closely monitoring Ocean Avenue in the early morning hours due to a recent rash of car burglaries and observed Redunski acting suspicious. Sgt. Celauro made contact with Redunski, who at first provided a false name, then fled on foot.. Sgt. Celauro was able to apprehend Redunski a few blocks away as he ran through a backyard. Ptlm. Edwin Hernandez assisted in the apprehension and arrest. Redunski was tied to two recent car burglaries and charged accordingly.
The Bradley Beach Police Department arrested one individual on an active contempt of court warrants and investigated nine motor vehicle accidents between July 9 and July 23.
