The Asbury Park Police Department made the following arrests July 30 through Aug. 6.
- On July 31 a 36-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested at headquarters and charged with assault. The male was processed and released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Michael McDonaugh was the arresting officer.
- On July 31 a 32-year-old male of Neptune was arrested in the area of 601 Grand Ave. and charged with defiant trespass and obstruction of the administration of law. The male was also found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance Crack Cocaine and had a contempt of court warrant out of Woodland Park. The male was processed at headquarters and released on summonses and on his own recognizance with a new court date for the warrant. Detective Daniel Savastano was the arresting officer.
- On July 31 a 19-year-old female, an 18-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, all residents Asbury Park and a 16-year-old female of Brick Township were arrested in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct (fighting). All subjects were transported to and processed at headquarters. All subjects were released on summonses with a pending court dates. Patrolman Islam Joshua was the arresting officer. Patrolman Lorenzo Pettway, Matthew Brown and Ryan Leahy assisted with the arrests.
- On Aug.1 subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Comstock Street and Prospect Avenue, a 25-year-old male of Asbury Park was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property (handgun reported stolen out of South Carolina), distribution of a controlled dangerous substance crack cocaine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance crack cocaine, distribution within 500 feet of public housing, public park or a public building, distribution with 1000 feet of school property and possession of a firearm while committing/attempting to distribution of CDS. Also arrested during the motor vehicle stop was a 20-year-old male resident of Asbury Park for a contempt of court warrant out of Hazlet Township. Both males were processed at headquarters and then transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Barry Hollo and Lorenzo Pettway were the arresting officers.
- On Aug. 1 a 61-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of the municipal building for multiple contempt of court warrants out of Neptune. The male was processed at headquarters and turned over to the Neptune Township Police Department. Patrolman Michael Treadway was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 2 a 25-year-old male resident of Neptune was arrested in the area of the 100 block of Langford Street and charged with defiant trespass. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman James Hand was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 3 a 21-year-old female resident of Neptune was arrested in the area of the 600 block of Langford Street and charged with aggravated assault. The female was transported to and processed at headquarters. The female was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Kevin Gutierrez was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 3 a 31-year-old female resident of Bloomfield was arrested in the area of 100 block of Asbury Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing the administration of law. The female was transported to and processed at headquarters. The female was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Christopher Sylvia was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 4 a 23-year-old male and a 26-year-old male both residents of Tinton Falls and a 22-year-old male resident of Neptune were all arrested and charged with burglary and theft to a business located in the 1200 block of Ocean Avenue. The 23-year-old male was additionally charged with criminal mischief. They were all processed at headquarters and released on summonses with pending court dates. Patrolman Matthew Buttermark was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 4 a 29-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of the casino building and charged with criminal mischief over $500 in damage assessed. The male was transported to headquarters for processing and released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman William Whitley was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 4 a 24-year-old male resident of Neptune was arrested in the area of the Asbury Park Village and charged with aggravated assault. The male was processed at headquarters and transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Fidencio Flores was the arresting officer.
