Bradley Beach Business and Community Alliance said it was thrilled with the successful summer season, marked by a series of community events, and is looking forward to its local summer event in September.
On June 20 the Summer Solstice member event brought together members of the BBBCA for an evening of celebration and camaraderie. This event highlighted the importance of community engagement and offered a chance for members to connect with one another. The evening was also a fundraiser for the first aid and fire departments and , demonstrated the community’s strong support for local heroes. The event raised funds to support these essential services.
The Main Street Markets in Riley Park attracted locals and visitors alike, bringing together farmers, artisans, and small businesses to showcase the best of local culinary provisions and handmade goods. The once-a-month markets provided a pop-up platform for local vendors to thrive.
The BBBCA also launched the Young Professionals Network, a new initiative designed to connect and empower the next generation of leaders in the community. The events this far were well-received, setting the stage for future networking opportunities and professional development programs.
On July 24 a welcoming event for new members was held at UVA Tiki Bar. The event provided an opportunity for new members to meet and mingle with established business owners and community leaders, fostering connections and collaborations that will benefit the entire community.
Local restaurant owners along Main Street and the Promenade said they experienced a successful summer season. At Skratch Kitchen, helmed by Chef JT Dunn, Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri visited and will be featured on Dinners, Drive-in and Dives airing at 9 p.m. Aug. 30.
The public is invited to the third annual Local Summer community gathering Sept. 7 at Brinley Beach from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This celebration will provide a final opportunity to enjoy the beach season with music, mingling and fun for all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and drink or patronize the establishments on the Promenade. Free water, iced tea and lemonade will be provided.
The BBBCA said it is proud of the achievements and collaborations that have defined this summer and remains committed to supporting local businesses and fostering a strong, vibrant community. The alliance also thanked the Bradley Beach Tourism Commission and everyone who participated in and supported the events.
